Work, gym, perhaps drinks, or dinner with the same three people, repeat. You've been meaning to get out more, meet new people, see what happens—but where exactly does a grown adult do that without it being weird?
Speed Friending, Montclair makes it easy. All we ask is that you bring your sense of adventure + a great BOOK, and we'll take it from there. So go get yourself your next favorite book, and reserve a spot now to join us for some lite bites, drinks (BYO) and a few fun rounds.
Sunday, 2/15 > 5:00pm check-in at Watchung Booksellers, and get ready for the main event (5:30-7:30 pm) at Bahn Voyage (right next door) 54 Fairfield Street, Montclair. Tickets are $8 on Eventbrite ($10 at the door)
How it works
STEP 1. You bring your book, we'll hand you your name tag
Browse, buy a book (10% off) and bring it with you for check-in. We'll give you a number and a name tag, and give you access to the names of everyone joining.
Lite bites provided and it's BYO (so bring your favorite drink!)
STEP 2. Settle in, say hello
We kick off our 10-minute rounds after a bit of mingling. Every time the bell dings, we rotate. It's that easy.
And just to add a little Valentine's Day spice, Watchung Bookstore has decided to throw in a little surprise...
STEP 3. Speed friending time!
After each round, you check off who you hit it off with, and we do the rest.
The next day, we send you a list of your new friend matches, help you connect, and will even take care of choosing, coordinating and the usual back and forths involved in meeting up again.
